Worst survival rifle and caliber? Enfield 303?

Years ago, I could have purchased British Enfields in .303 and German Mausers in 8mm for little or nothing, but I didn't because of the lack of ammo. I swore then that I would never buy a gun that I couldn't get ammo for. However, in my preps I have several boxes of ammo for guns that I don't own, including .303 and 8mm, just in case.

 

Cast bullets gas checked and sized to .314 work great in the .311-.313 bore.
