You know it's Hot in Texas when

Years ago I was an extra in a Civil War movie (Gettysburg) in Penn. in August. The production assistants were warning us to drink plenty of water, seek shade during breaks, etc. cause it was going to be hot that day. We asked, " how hot" ? They said, " 85-90 ". We told them, " we're from the Deep South, do y'all have any idea how early we have to get up in the morning to see temperatures that low...especially in August"!
It was a long and WARM day, but we got to see Martin Sheen in his FULL General Robert E. Lee get-up. Hell, we must have scared the bejesus out of Martin Sheen. If he had drawn his sword and said, " On to Washington!", we would have burned it down!

 

It's kinda like that in the winter time too...at least up here in NW Alabama.

 

It's hot in Texas when you use your dogs breathing to cool off in little puffs.

 

Its hot in Texas when the cattle seek shade next to a single dangling strand of a broken barb wire fence.
