End Grain Cutting boards.
All 3 are made with Black Walnut, Maple and Cherry.

 

Those are too pretty to ever allow a knife near them!

 

Don't forget that the used cutting board has more character having been used represents a lot of meals having passed over it. They now make titanium cutting boards, but these will never scratch or provide a history of meals done on it.
I like old knives for this reason.
A tool should never be an idol, it's a tool and if not used it's worthless artwork.

I agree. Tools, ornate or plain, should be used.

 

Nasty wet weekend, but I did manage to shoot a put 400 rounds through the P17. It's a hoot.

 

Much easier to get pictures of stuff on the table when I have a second lantern hung behind me.

 

This is my personal bowie knife. 318,770,000 layers of steel. Ive been using it for about 3 years.

 

I don't know, Jerry. To my not so practiced eye, that looks like it's only 318,469,744 layers, but I'll admit I might be off 10 or 20 layers.
