The wife and I took a run over the Cascades via Chinook Pass, headed South for lunch at the Trout Lodge...right next to the river of course, and snuck around the South side of Mt. Rainier, then journeyed back home via White Pass. Chinook was in the clouds with a dusting of snow.... visability was about 15 feet. A bit of a trek, but the views were amazing this time of year, once we dropped out of the clouds!!

Grizzly. Next picture the camera took was the grizzly moving my canoe for me. Which I found turned back right side up and a few yards away.

Almost. I only have the power to levitate above ice with the aid of crampons. 10 inches of ice on the lake before the first snow this year, which just happened two days ago. Only about three inches of snow so far. Sad. Chainsawed through the lake ice today for my water since melting snow is out of the question.

Filling the water jugs again. Boil, then filter and do it all over again a few days from now. Sure makes you enjoy a water catchment system with filtration or melting snow.

The bright line going up & down on the left of center is actually a rainbow...

Super moon 1850 hrs tonight coming over hill behind the house. That is a zoomed in pine tree on top of the hill and not a pot plant.

I just spent a week in French Polynesia. Not a bad bug-out location. There is plenty of fish in the lagoons and lots of wild fruit trees along with rich volcanic soil and fresh water on some islands. The people were friendly, no crime and a real relaxed life style. Americans can own property and live there with a visa renewal every six months. And it’s all a long-ass away from anywhere.
