Two revolvers, a great big T-bone steak, and the "dog" is an Arkansas Razorback. :)

Tourists don't respect these flags until a few drown. You only have to get caught in a rip tide once to understand the danger. Sadly, some don't survive that first time.

When in Rome. China beer is not bad at all. It is amazing how 7-10% compounded growth can transform a country and it's people in 10 years.

It is true, but sad that visitors to the beach die every year because they simply don't understand how evil the currents can be, and are clueless of the warnings

When I was young and strong I survived a rip current, but it nearly killed me. I saved a young lady from another such current, and she nearly drowned me, using me as a flotation device. Pushing her free and shouting "STOP, or I'll leave you here!" was very effective. It's shocking to go from walking knee deep in the ocean maybe 100 yards from the beach to suddenly being unable to touch bottom and being pulled out to sea by a strong current.

Since our rip currents tend to be narrow, the best advice would be "Swim parallel to the beach!" That's all but useless to someone paddling for their life. All they see is water everywhere. Best hope may be moving as far as safe into the surf to one side of the rip current and yelling "SWIM TO ME!" Hopefully that can be followed shortly by "Now stand up."

As much as I look forward to the tourists leaving in the fall, I hope they all survive their visit to come again to litter the beach and screw up traffic.
