Not a chance!

I cringe when I hear "It's point zero zero six inch below the spec of one point two seven zero inch." I suspect I get machine work done cheaper because I speak machinist. Grew up watching Dad at the lathe.

These guys are the poster boys for one of Dad's favorite grumbles. "There's never time to do it right, but there's always time to do it over."

 

Not a good way to start the day.

 

I'd be really tempted to screw it down tight and leave it there if it didn't leak too fast.

My eyes ain't good enough to use a regular vernier, but my dial vernier is almost to easy to read. Do wish I'd bought a vernier mic back then too.

 

Yep, I carry one of those in my truck. Last time I needed it , it was in my other truck,,

 

Look closely. A gentleman lived here until today. Now he’s getting help.

 

Good lord. Pigeons and rats as well. What was his situation??

I could deal with the pigeons , but not the rats.

 

Just curious , I've heard of older folks that end up in situations like that , and it's a really sad situation when they end up like that. Some times it's just old age with no family or friends , and sometimes it's mental , or both. I hope the best for them.
