I'm tuning loads and adjusting sights on these stinkers. Couldn't find any .620"-.670" round ball in my stash and my only mold in that range is for a 7/8 ounce shotgun slug.
My solution is both efficient and inexpensive. Marbles. They're 5/8" diameter is ideal for paper cartridge construction, and their reduced weight keeps recoil light. It also makes a Buck and marble or BB and marble load more interesting. Tapered paper cone cartridge makes these load changes easy. Just roll the finished cartridge between two planks to ensure the Buckshot or BB portion of the load is squashed to the same diameter as the marble.

Mountain pistol likes a .490 round ball and a tight patch. Drift the rear sight a bit right and file the front blade down a tad and it'll be dead on. 50gr FFG is comfortable and accurate.

Best part of shooting BP pistols is the clean-up. What is an ordeal with a 42" rifle barrel is a pleasure with the short little pistols barrels.
