    We never got that high tech. The cream was heaviest in the first few glasses poured from the pitcher. The big kids usually got theirs first, leaving less and less for us little kids.

    That's a lot of cranking! That's why it's nice to have lots of kids on the farm.

    I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that ,, at the speed they had to be going to snap that pole ,, I'm not so sure they'd have made it around that 90 degree cuve up ahead. They were an accident just looking for a place to happen.

    I didn't ask the owner much about it. IP didn't make any M1A1's, but the stock could've been swapped out long ago. He'll be back, so I can learn more. I just thought it was neat to see an Irwin-Pedersen receiver. Less than 1/10th of one percent (3542) of M1 carbine production came from them, and apparently only entered service after Saginaw, which was also in Grand Rapids, Michigan, fixed them.
