Zach Fowler's pheasant bobblehead Target

Pick up one of Zach Fowler's slingshot target and it gets ab thumbs up.

I did drop a wasps nest at 20 yard with a 22 pellet 3 shots , man were they pissed , no stings this time

11 from 20 head shots is damned good...much better than most would achieve having the whole bird as a target.

I think a slingshot's a very useful adjunct to other projectile hunting weapons...light, not very bulky, quiet, doesn't require licensing, ammo easy to source, inexpensive, can be improvised readily with found objects, training costs, other than time minimally expensive depending on ammo.

 

I agree also most think of it as a toy and it's over looked.

 

Yes, just like a good pellet gun. Slingshots are not toys if used right and neither are a lot of primitive weapons or pellet guns. Nice shootin' as always. What's the head made of on that target ?? As you said, it was holding up,, just wondering if it would ever need replacement.

 

I think it's it's a heavy duty foam rubber with leather for the outside or micro leather

 

the target could probably be improvised...an ashtray or a spindle stuck through a stainless steel bowl...some ballast to make it self righting and a squash ball as the substitute head.

Far be it for me to interfere with Zach Fowler's revenue stream by suggesting that an alternative, workable substitute might be 'cobbled together'. Improvise, adapt and overcome is at the heart of this site...where may one buy a Zach Fowler in a post apocalyptic world over run with geriatric 'yippie' barbarians wearing man-buns??? In an uncertain future, It be better to be able to improvise one with the materials that one has...
