We had a bit of a blow last night. All safe here but just by a bit of luck as well as the usual prepping.

Drive way was washed a bit but nothing that even the small car couldn't traverse. Of course now some will understand why the new Scout is still under a steel blanket. As shown the big lake's full and all others are over flowing. I'll check on Dams in a day or two and hope they are OK. I have at least 3 ways to get to any one dam so no rush and nothing I can do now.

We were under the typical Tornado, Severe Thunderstorm, Hail and Straight line wind watch for over 8 hours. We had Super Cell x 3 thunderstorms for 4 hours and known Tornadoes within 2 miles.

All's calm for now , but if you'll just wait a minute, we can change that!!!

Glad you made out ok through that mess. That whole region got hammered. I think they said 14 tornadoes reported?

We got crazy hail in the panhandle.... this was from about 15 miles west of my place. Here at the house, we've just had nonstop rain since last night.
    hail.

South of us had hail for over 2 hours. Looked to be a foot deep.

Now the phones ring for "Roofing Repair Experts" but only till I hit *77.

Have no need for them anyway. Steel Reinforced Concrete is hard to damage.

I lived down your way back in eh, early 90s I guess... I remember softball sized hail once. Never seen anything like it since.

We had a storm on Saturday that destroyed most of the boats in a local Regatta out on the Bay. Found two bodies so far, still four missing.

Yup, we've been having a string of storms for weeks now. Don't get me wrong, water is great, first thing I do when I have a spare minute is check the intellicast.com I was surprised that the Sail boaters did not know of any alerts. Open water kills, bay water can kill quicker. Sorry for y'alls loss.

Got some more of that mess this AM...blew a freight train off of the Huey P. Long Bridge. Wind gusts over 100mph. Round 3 is nearly here, now.

Big wind in East Texas knocking out power to me and several hundreds more. Back on now, but I did get a chance to test out my solar system I have been working on. Got half the house up and running before it came back up at 6:30. But, at 5:00 I was drinking a cold beer and watching Fox News, just like any other day. Proud of my DIY solar package.

Gotta love the panhandle. I was born there. Glad I don't live there anymore, lol. I like south and east Texas with TREES

I float like a cork... which is good because my brothers "taught me to swim" when I was 2 by tossing me into the neighbor's pool. Been unsinkable ever since, heh.

A few more shots to show how much water and some damage. I still have a more trees than pictured to cut down that need to be out of the way. The dams held and are in good shape. Now where are those Beavers when I need them??
