ATF is at it again, trying to justify their pathetic existence. GSG-5 FAKE suppressors that are now suppressors and airsoft guns that can now be made into machine guns. Good luck with that. You might get one shot off and then hopefully you are not killed when it blows up in your face.

I guess after all the negative feedback from Ruby Ridge and Waco they don't have enough high profile rights violating operations to keep busy and have plenty of time to make this crap up.

"CORNELIUS, Ore. - A local business owner is flabbergasted after a shipment of 30 toy guns for his store was confiscated by ATF agents in Tacoma.

Brad Martin and his son, Ben, sell the Airsoft BB guns from their store in Cornelius where they’ve been in business for seven years.

The Martins said they buy their stock from Taiwan because the merchandise is less expensive. But the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives seized a shipment of 30 in October. That shipment is worth around $12,000 and the ATF is promising to destroy the entire shipment.

Special Agent Kelvin Crenshaw said the toys can be easily retro-fitted into dangerous weapons.

"With minimal work it could be converted to a machine gun," Crenshaw said.

Brad Martin is furious about the loss of money, for sure, but also in what he now thinks as a loss of his time and the use of government agents to seize toy guns.

"All this manpower, all this time, all this taxpayer money, [it is] wasting my time and my profitability,” Martin said. “[Just] to seize 30 toy guns!"

Ben Martin disagrees that the toy guns could ever be considered dangerous.

"To say these are readily convertible to machine guns is absolutely preposterous,” he said. “The round wouldn't go into the firing chamber and even if the firing pin did strike the primer the gun would basically blow up in your face.”

ATF said it also seized the toys because they are missing the blaze orange tips required on all imported toy guns.

The Martins said they've received shipments before from Taiwan that were missing the orange tips and were simply asked by customs agents to drive up to Tacoma and paint the tips orange themselves. They are wondering why it is an issue now.

Just how idiotic is this?? Just blows my mind....."

I doubt that the town will riot and fight these tyrants, but that is what needs to happen. Everywhere. Every day, non-stop until every alphabet agency is unemployed.

"Air soft, paintball, bb guns, and other guns that use a gas or air pellet or mechanical spring action to fire a projectile are not subject to Department of Commerce regulations for toy or imitation firearms that require bright orange plugs or other markers to be affixed to the end of the barrel"

"Common sense" is NOT a prerequisite for joining the BATFE! [rofllmao]

Nor is having a working knowlege of firearms.

This worthless gang of thugs is getting about as popular as the IRS. Here are a couple things off the stores site.

<table class="contentpaneopen"><tbody><tr><td class="contentheading" width="100%">"Kelven Crenshaw: Moved 5 times due to incompetence? </td> <td class="buttonheading" width="100%" align="right"> [IMG] </td> </tr> </tbody></table> If you haven't seen it yet, Kelven Crenshaw is the ATF agent shown in this video arguing that the WE TTI M4 is "readily convertible" to a machine gun. According to this article that's dated August 27th, 2009, Mr. Crenshaw has been PCS moved five times due to his incompetence (which is clearly visible in the video). Funny that he's the one breaking this to the media.
    Just food for thought."

    BAT1 Cowboys know no fear

They don't want groups of people 'training', as air soft is good for that. And they are A$$holes.

This is absurd. But, that's SOP for the alphabet soup boys. The name "Bad Attitude Toward Freedom" stuck for a reason. If they were a little less absurd, we'd have to make fun of them. As it is, they do that for us.

It's really nice to be at a forum where I don't have to worry about criticizing these clowns. Thanks!

Special request to Special Agent Kelvin Crenshaw - howsabouts you 'man up' and grow a pair, and make a video of YOU personally doing the 'minor work' needed to complete this modification, and then fire the converted 'gun' with live ammo, in person!

Only THEN can your allegations be taken as valid. How about it, Special Agent!?

Prove it, or it ain't so! [freedom]
