I chose "Fair amount known, not interested." = The government hates competition. I just see Bitcoin as a waste of time, but it doesn't matter to me...so, meh. Good luck to it -they gonna need it.

  12. I'm a strong believer in Agorist thinking

Bitcoin allows transactions to take place below the radar of any gooberment. Not perfect because they can trace traffic and such, but that coupled with PGP and a few other things and gov't cannot know what you are buying and selling nor can they figure out how to tax it which is their greatest worry.

Bitcoin isn't for a cashless society / mark of the beast, it is one of the most anti mark things you can do since it is underground of gooberment control.

    JMTC< YMMV

    Ok, Bitcoin should i care?
    Well maybe, maybe not.
Do you have a relative in Iran? Cuba? Syria? or other nation that the US Gooberment doesn't like? If so, you should care about bitcoin. As bitcoin has gone from a geek novelty to a bit more noticed, it's willingness to be accepted as something of value as part of a trade/exchange item has grown.

best part is, it can bypass the middle man (banks, western union, traditional money changers). It is not controlled by a government. It's not controlled by a bank.

Hell, I could use it to bail out my brothers ass in the Ukraine if need be (as long as his bail isn't too much).

Yes this is mostly geek stuff at this time. Will it go full mainstream? I've no clue;I hope so!

If you buy into the idea that this a cryptocurrency then it has value to you. And if you find someone that also believes that Bitcoin has value either now or in the future then you have yourself a barter item.

I've already got a group of people that i know that value bitcoin, their are others in my general wide area of operations that are willing to exchange Bitcoin for FRN's and vice versa. So for me, It's just as good as a fiat currency. Value fluctuate just like a commodity.

I'm in bitcoin for the long haul. Win, lose or break even.

    The Ultimate Offshore Bank Account.
First, we have to ask – why do people go offshore in the first place? Here are what I believe to be the top reasons people choose to move their money offshore:
    • Financial Privacy
    • Protection from Theft (taxation)
    • Protection from Litigation
    • Currency Diversification
    • Jurisdictional Diversification
    • Global Access to Funds

Yeah, yeah, VisuTrac, I get the picture. It geekgeld. You can't use it in the real world.

    Well yes you can.
    How about private internet access
    How about hosting your website
Drugs, weapons well maybe if you believe they are down on the TOR Silkroad
Porn. If it weren't for porn creating a demand for bandwidth, .. well anyway, Porn
in the market for something from individuals like the classified section of your newspaper?

Pizza, car rentals, music, a romantic evening on the town, a cruise, gasoline, ammo, preps, bulk toilet paper, seeds, chain saw, car repair, airline ticket to go see mom. At this point you are sayin' NFW VisuTrac. Bitcoin can't do that. Well, maybe not on it's own, but with your bitcoins you can purchase a prepaid debit card and use that in the real world.

I'm hankering a big steak right now. Oh yeah, you can get that straight from the farm

fine fine, you still not feeling the bitcoin? How about if i told you that you could buy Mountain House food with Bitcoin? Interest yet? Check it prepper!

Still not feeling it? How about an assault backpack? Are you an operator wannabe?

Adam Kokesh on Bitcoin and Free Market Money

The rising career of Adam Kokesh maintains a steady and distinct focus on liberty and individual empowerment. Since serving in the United States Marine Corps in Iraq, he has built a reputation as an anti-war, pro-freedom activist and outspoken independent journalist. His peaceful civil-disobedience and direct actions range from mega-phone powered outbursts to debatably awesome dance moves with clear and undeniable reactions from the institutions that he speaks-out against. In the last two years Kokesh has been developing a presence with his show, Adam vs. The Man, which previously aired as a radio program in New Mexico then on the television network Russia Today and is currently “Anchoring the Internet, 7 days a week” via podcasts and his popular YouTube channel.
Internet communities are evolving at an incredible rate, creating phenomenal innovations, adjusting to the rapidly changing market and reshaping what it means to be free while war and civil unrest rage in the streets around the world as a result of government policies, global banks and corporate greed. This is where Adam vs. The Man and Bitcoin collide. more here ...
