Yes, we survived Black Friday. No shopping for us. We were outside (getting wet).

Our view as we got closer to dinner.

I forgot to pack some clothes pins, Mrs. Hanzo said, "just make some." So I did. The wood had a lot of knots. But the clothes pins work. And Mrs. Hanzo liked them.

Dinner was pulled pork that was smoked for about 14 hours or so with all the fixin's.

Monkey likes fire. She does a good job building and tending them too.

Or cooking fire down to coals.

The rain was heavy and the wind furious. But the Exped tent handled it well.

In the morning, the rainbow was glorious.

After a great breakfast of omelettes, I boiled peanuts for a healthy snack.

Glad @Bear got to stop by. After he left, I thought I would make him a net needle. I just used my pocket knife and the wood was hard and knotty. A twist of the knife ended up splitting the wood at the top, so it became kindling.

Saw this little fella while having dinner. I think he just hatched. May have had a bit of eggshell by his mouth.

    Kids' nighttime play.

And then they are drawn to the bonfire.

    With Mike for scale.

Beam shot with my little Fenix. The small tree in the center was about 120-130 yards. Two guys' estimates.

Our family tent compound from 30-40 yards.

And it's coming down hard again tonight too.

Hoping for no rain today, so I can pack up dry.

I packed up three soaking wet hunting blinds,( about twice as heavy) from my recent hunt. No big deal, just packed them open to dry in the garage while visiting family. Packed them away dry in the morning.;)

The morning came after another night of heavy rain and high wind gusts. In other words, the usual for our camping experience.

After we packed up wet, it turned into a gorgeous day.

The moon was out early too.

Monkeys were tired and cranky. Big monkey did a power nap at her desk.

Then both monkeys played tennis and complained about all their aches from a long weekend of hard play.
