With the UN announcing we won’t have clean water in just a few short years, I’ve been wondering about water collection independently. My dehumidifier collects about 2 gallons a day (South FL), I’m wondering how I could make that water drinkable. If possible. Thanks!

Same as any water, distillation, filtration, etc.

Not sure just how much of what the UN says I'd believe. Those people have political motivations not based in fact.

One solution of course is remote property with a private well. Almost equally as good is @VisuTrac 's idea.

AC units make a lot of water daily, especially in humid environments. Filter it for trash and send it through an RO filter and it's fine. Mine drains into a blue barrel so I always have toilet flushing and watering water available. Seems cleaner than the rainwater I used to collect. For drinking, as long as it is purified and not just filtered, it is safe. Another tip, if the cat won't drink it, you shouldn't either.
