DIY Smoke Bombs and Fuses

Useful for concealment, diversion, or communication

Basic recipe

• I cup salt peter
• 1 TBSP baking soda
• 1 TBSP sugar
• Crayons

Made from paper towel rolls


You can also use a soda can

I like to make gopher gas smoke bombs that put out lots of sulphur dioxide and carbon monoxide.

 

That would've taken all the down slope shooting practice out of it for me. I used a garden hose and a 1863 Springfield.

 

I'll have to look into the fuse. If it can be made hot enough to ignite a short length of magnesium ribbon it could be useful.

 

Here the soil is too absorbent. I can't flood them out. Have to gas them.

 

I used to flood the little bastards out with a garden hose, right into the waiting mouth of my Malamute.
One loud crunch and done!
