Wife just found that they are having a big sale online. She's making a large order for us on the other computer. As I've stated in a previous post, we've really liked all the stuff we've ordered from them so far. Their pants and some shirts are 50% off. We found some med kits that have the quick clot bandages on sale as well. Just thought I'd pass this along.
Tully, Thanks for the Heads up on this. Duluth Trading has some real quality stuff. Time to stock up on Fire Hose pants!!!
I wanted one their fire hose sport coats. Wife ordered me a L (they didn't list chest size as is normal for sport coats). I was swimming in it, probably was a 48 or 50. Sent it back for a M. The M was way too tight like is was a 38 or 40 tops. I wear a 44 long. Gave up on that coat as the sizing was goofy and too ambiguous. But I would still like one as it was quite nice and apropos for those times you need a coat but favor the rugged vs the corporate weenie look. AT
The Duluth gear is top notch thanks for the link. Another option for HD pants are the Carhartt Double-Front Logger Dungaree. 6 pairs and I still have not worn through the front layer.. Extra tough with chap-style, double-front leg panels for added protection and durability, our Double-Front Logger Dungaree is made of heavyweight 15-ounce, 100% cotton ridged denim. There are double knees with cleanout bottoms to accommodate knee pads. Its full seat and thigh ensure easy movement, and the 19-inch leg opening fits easily over work boots. The dungaree sits at the natural waist, and features multiple tool and utility pockets, a hammer loop, and two reinforced back pockets. 15-ounce, heavyweight, 100% cotton rigid denim Chap-style, double-front panels Double knees Carhartt - Product - Men's Double-Front Logger Dungaree
These are the main reason I haven't bought a bunch of the fire hose pants. I haven't wore out my carhartts yet I am a huge carhartt fan, their artic grade bibs and coats are the only stuff I'll wear up north. I'm afraid the downside to the these pants and the fire hose pants are that they may be too heavy for the deep south=very hot to wear in summer. Course, I'm a "Yankee Wuss" when it comes to the hot weather according to my wife...
Carhatts wear at least twice as long as Wall's for me. So even at half price, walls are no bargain. I intend to get a few pair of those double front carpenter pants for work.
