Even the uber wealthy are starting to prep. Must be something in the air.

"Vivos founder and CEO Robert Vicino announced Vivos Europa One which will be an invitation only, five star, underground survival complex, similar to an underground cruise ship for the elite. Each family will be provided a private 2,500 square foot of floor area, capable of two story improvements for a total of 5,000 square feet of private living quarters. With fit and finish comparable to a mega-yacht, each member family will hire their own architect and contractor to build out their living quarters to the custom standard they desire.

The expansive shelter is located in Germany and is one of the most fortified and massive underground survival shelters on Earth. Originally built by the Soviets during the Cold War, this shelter was a fortress for military equipment and munitions. After the DDR was merged with Germany, the German government inherited this relic and intended to use it for the same purpose of weapons storage. However, due to a law prohibiting the storage of ammunition near a major highway, the German Government soon realized they could not continue with their plans and decided to auction this 76 acre complex. A wealthy investor purchased the entire property, along with all of its improvements, both above and below ground. Vicino says “We are proud to bring this epic project forward in these increasingly dangerous times.”

Seems to me this is a "Trade in your Money, for a Place that might allow you to survive......" for the "More Money than Brains Crowd"... All it takes is MONEY, and No Brains.....

Everyone has different standards. I personally think these make people a target and to be fair. These have been around a long time. Where do you think USA leaders would go if the SHTF? They won't live in concrete bare bones bunkers.

I think most of our living should be just like this, because it's more sensible and does not create energy-dependent classes of people. The thought of a self reliant and self sustaining populace who do not rely upon the energy grid is frightening to the establishment, too. This is why it is currently for the mega rich crowd and those few with the knowledge and resources to pull it off.

@Ganado I was being facetious. (look it up)

Seems like every sekeret squirrel wants to go off grid.

Next time I'll use the [tongue]so you know.

The linked article is nothing but fuddery of the highest order. Fear mongering to the wealthy idiots.
Kinda like some people I know who think prepping is a closet full of "Food Emergency" buckets and 50,000 rounds of 5.56 ammo.

Look at the activity on the "Two off grid communities" thread. Its the same concept but marketed to the minimum wage demographic. Want to go build Massah a big fine house and live in a dugout ? ( Hole in the ground)

Sign up and have fun. [tongue]

@NotSoSneaky. Ok I got it now you are being facetious. And the arrogance of telling me to look it up is.... rude. I probably have a much larger vocabulary than you and a higher IQ.

And a cheeky emote would be helpful as written communication doesn't convey body language or tone.

Yes it's annoying that everyone wants to 'go off grid' but at least they are looking at being self sufficient. ... it's a start. Whatever interest others and gets them started being self sufficient.
I'm never going to criticize. I will answer their questions the best I can and hope it leads to more self sufficiency and more exploration. NEVER pound an inquiring mind just because the same question has been asked 1000 times

And I agree with your analysis on the community aspect, people have to find that out for themselves. Just because I am an independent soul doesn't mean everyone is.
