Anyone know about these? I want to get one to bring water up from a creek behind our house in case the water is shut off. Thing is they're all 1" inlet and out. I really want to use a garden hose on the outlet because it's WAY cheaper and easier to come by. Also I'd like to fit the inlet to a permanent PVC pipe at another watering hole that I have in mind. I'd take the pump where I needed it. So, are these adaptable in this way? Also, are these ridiculously powerful? I just want to fill barrels, and I can see a hose getting loose and whipping everyone in sight! Don't want that to happen.
