Seems like a lot of hyped up storytelling to me. By "volume" is just an estimation, and the scope of the Mayan pyramids pale in comparison to Egypt. Nevertheless, I can't wait to see what they discover. And it looks like El Mirador has been under excavation for close to a decade - http://www.mostlymaya.com/el_mirador.html But... There may be an angle to this. Possibly an attempt to justify increased restriction to the area?
