Out where I live, every House (cabin) is Armed, with multiple Firearms... You just do NOT go messing with another man’s place... especially if they are home...

I haven't actually tried it, for this purpose, but I have had a little to do with framing and siding and drywall. Makes me wonder why anybody bothers with doors at all.

That JUST happened here after the flooding from Hurricane Florence...8 houses broken into by going through the vinyl siding next to the front doors. Cop think they used a battery powered skill saw.

Probably the best thing is to have a phony safe filled with concrete .
With instructions to break up the concrete carefully so as to not damage the viles of nitroglycerine .

Anyone who puts Nitroglycerine in Glass Containers has either Nanosecond Life Expectancy, or a Death Wish..... Neoprene Containers are the safe containers for this substance... Wrote a Paper on this subject, while in College, 50 years ago....

Jesus, they actually had neoprene back then? I mean, not too many things were happening when Carter was Potus, just a failing economy and the sound of angels weeping.

How about hard rock candy vials protected by an inner coating of neoprene, shaped like candy canes? Nobody would ever suspect... [reddevil]

It all comes down to Surface Tention.... in Glass you get a miniscus, in Neoprene you get the opposite, a slight “Doming”. The thinner the substance, the more Shock Sensativity of the Product has...

Check this out if you have the time.

You'd be surprised at how simple it is to defeat security in most common places.
The thing is, it's often easy to protect against most of these tricks.

Getting in where you don't belong is one thing, getting caught is another .
Cameras and motion sensor lights work just fine.

Just an update, the Bowley Lock Company has a new, affordable and very secure lock series available called "Rotasera".

You can check it out now at their store: BOWLEY ROTASERA DOOR LOCKS AND PADLOCKS

    bowley_rot.

And if you're still a fan of their original line, which is still very high quality, you can buy them here: ORIGINAL BOWLEY LOCK DEADBOLT (the grade 2 deadbolt comes with 4 keys!)

To me it makes more sense to have secret rooms, IF you have the good sense to keep your mouth shut about having them.
In a house I once had I built 2 rooms and my brother knew this house very well having been my dad's home and he could not find the secret rooms no matter how hard he looked, and I'm no master carpenter.
There are literally hundreds of configurations for secret rooms.
Point is getting in a home is not that difficult, even if you have a lot of time to do your thing, a secret room done right is more effective, because what you cant see you can't take.
