I want to turn the shed into a instruments inventory.

I have my brother's musical instruments with me. Currently, they are all kept in his room. He left us last year. The instruments are lying there wasted. I want to move it to a better place. First I thought that I could rent an inventory.
While I was browsing the internet aimlessly, I came across a blog on utilizing your shed space. 5 Things To Do With Your Additional Shed Space | In The Back Yard This gave me the idea of redesigning the interiors to make it suitable for keeping the instruments. In that way, I can see those whenever I want to. It's all left from my brother.
I know many of you might have redesigned or renovated your sheds for various uses. So, please share your suggestions in this regard.

    Thanks!

What kind of instruments? That would vary the design. We have some high cabinets and shelving that are higher up, plus we hang the seasonal so it does not take up lower space that we use all the time.

If you are going to store things in an out building, just remember about the temp fluctuations. Extreme heat to extreme cold throughout the year could have a detrimental impact on your stuff........

Depending on the instruments woods don't fare well in extreme heat/ cold humidity . metal strings rust, and electronics corrode.

Hard problem to have! For me, My one Musical Instrument weighs in at 2405 pounds and takes 8 hours to move and a crew of at least 8 people! The Wife was instructed in it's removal should she ever have to, or try and sell the property with it!

The instruments I got are drums, guitars , saxophone, and a keyboard. I was thinking, maybe if I can insulate and weatherproof the shed, it would be an ideal place.

Soundproofing the shed would undoubtedly be appreciated by your neighbours (having had a neighbour in a block of apartments with a drum kit wasn't my idea of heaven...The drummer couldn't play for $hit)

Your instruments would appreciate your weatherproofing the shed also.

And critters. Like mice and moths are something that needs to be considered also. The hot/cold protection is good plus figure your local moisture factor.

Humidity and temperature must be controlled. After that it's aesthetics.

My nearest neighbor is 1/4 mile away, and my mini theater is insulated for sound and heat! If I didn't have insulation, you could hear it for sure!!!
