Monkey Down...Lessons Learned

    I did not "learn" anything, but the incident did affirm what I already believed: The internet should never be a primary resource.

    As much as I like Survival Monkey ---and what I'm about to say is not an insult or a put down-- to me internet forums, including this website, are just a diversion, entertainment. It's where I go just for kicks and if I incidentally pick up a few good ideas along the way then that's a nice bonus.

    If you're so invested in a single resource that your world implodes if it's not there, then you have some huge holes in your prepping that need to be addressed.

    So, Survival Monkey, I love ya, but you're not my only love. And if you didn't come back, I'd be disappointed but I'd get over it and move on. True survivalists always have alternative.
