Night walkers and Homeless

Most seem as though they did nothing to prepare for the change in their situation. I am homeless and receiving SS however I still working the skills I've collected through the years.
Dad taught me to be resourceful so I do what I can to help my neighbors.
Some neighbors offer money and some offer nothing, not that they can't pay but simply don't feel obligated to.
Human nature is inherently selfish and judgmental especially to those that fell on hard times though no fault of ther own.
The drug issue exists because people have no hope, and any hope that see is just as easily stolen by government officials .
Many years ago I did alternate service for the draft fighting fires for the state. Good program.
The something can be offered the homeless, and I"ve recommended it but typical response nothing.
People running the state are not real bright, but you canot fix stupid.

 

I spent a good part of my life traveling for biz - some of the worst & best places in the World - the range of billionaires to the homeless >>> know the "streets" like most military & veteran cops don't even get a chance to experience - and - sometimes I just can't begin to comprehend the total innocence & naivety of the "straights" - it's like they are out of a novel or TV series - "Are trying to get yourself killed ???"

I'll never forget one of my very first contributions to a prepper forum years & years ago >>> some innocent mini-van driving suburban soccer mom posts on the forum - wants members' advice on what to include in "gift bags" to the homeless - her & the family intended to go into the ghetto and make direct contact with the underpass trolls and refrigerator crate camps >>> unlike most of responding posts that encouraged her intentions - I asked if she was totally out of her mind - if she had any idea at all of just how dangerous it was having that kind of close contact - she rebuked allllll the sensible suggestions like working with & thru the shelters - she was actually desparate that her children get exposed to that part of society >>> no idea if she survived - if her first encounter scared her strait ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

116 in the shade here but our local hobo/drunk/dopers are not without umbrellas.
If you're going to hobo at least be smart about it.
