Naw it aint that hard. Switch from white bread who whole grain bagels. White rice to quinoa. Unplug your microwave and get a cheap steamer.... Sharpen your knife and buy roasts of meat instead of "deli meat" (it's way cheaper this way anyway) And most importantly and not mentioned....filter your water. If you really wanna go hardcore - get a juicer..(i got one for xmas) and big bags or seeds....in 2013 i'll be juicing SPROUTS by the mason jar and live to 150. Ta da! G

I dropped 20 lbs after nixing soda. I might still have one here and there over the course of year. EXTREME wheat intake reduction. Trying to eliminate it is proving hard for me. NO diet anything NO low sugar anything I'm at 85-90% organic foods /gluten free and getting better. It's been hard weening off the old food that I loved (BREAD!!!).. I've been able to maintain my weight in flux of 2-3 lbs.
Nothing against the OP but over the years I have read a lot of papers and articles on topics such as this and one thing I have come to the conclusion of is a lot of food related health issues with stuff like white bread and white rice are way over-hyped. Not that brown isn't better but the negative effects are no where near what a lot of people preach. The food industry is full of stuff like this, coco nut oil and sweet n low are two examples of food items that were bashed at one time because of faulty/malicious research and now have been proven to be fine for human consumption. Still you can't go wrong cutting back on sugar and carbs or eating non-processed foods but your not going to die because of it either if done in moderation.

I love bacon! I don't think it loves me though, but that's ok, I don't want a serious relationship anyways.
