We are looking at about $75 a barrel now and prices are forecasted to go up in the next year or so. This means higher gas prices, higher gold prices, inflation, tougher economy, unless the higher oil prices implode Asian or European markets.
What is driving the oil prices higher? What's changed? Also, didn't I hear/read recently that we are now supplying 60% of our own oil needs? EDIT: I found this. This is good news if it is accurate: "In 2017, U.S. net imports (imports minus exports) of petroleum from foreign countries were equal to about 19% of U.S. petroleum consumption. This was the lowest percentage since 1967."
I think demand. The dollar has been fairly strong lately, so it not a weak dollar driven like with the 2008 to 2016 dummie and the high oil prices under his reign.
I put gas in my wifes car about once a month and gas prices are up like 20 cents a gallon since last time. Did we declare war on some middle eastern country?
dude is $56-$65/barrel so ya its going up... the oil harvest from fracking costs money. crude has to be over $60/barrel for fracking to be profitable. The questions we should be asking is why didn't pump prices go down when oil was $40-$45/barrel
$2.08 gal here in N.La. Edit- I was wrong as I have not been to town in awhile. Yesterday the price was $2.17 gal.
Shoot,Friend of mine was just laid off Seems some Lib company out of Denver bought them out and promptly required everyone to live with-in a 75 mile radius down in Bum-F_ _k Tx and to work 8 and 6 He's like nope ain't up-rooting the wife and kids to move out of Louisiana They did give him a severance package!
Diesel seems to be holding but regular gas has been increasing. Not sure why but there has been an increase in the last month.
Alaska crude is $67.19/bbl. Everyone is hoping for a return of $110/bbl. Mostly Democrat pols. They want to pi$$ even more $ away on graft and corruption.....
Yup, They are so “ Down in the Dumps” because they have No Money to spread around to their buddies, because they blew so much already and put the State coffers in the Deep Red Ink... and our New Governor promised to pay us all back the PFD Money the legislature stole the last two years... and he is gutting the Education Budget, and the Alaska Marine Highway Budget... in order to get to a Balanced Budget, which is REQUIRED by the State Constitution... Ah, Life in the Alaskan Bush...
Gas is up to $2.60 here. Think I have my wife talked into getting a plug in hybrid hyundai. Driving to and from work, going to the store, bank, ect. around town will probably use 0 gas unless it's winter and she will want the heater going. Then when we go to the next town over it should at least cut gas use in half. Going to the rental house, in the next town over, where I have a charger set up it won't use much gas since I can charge there.
were at 150 per quart so that means 6.00 $ per USG , if yur 4 Qts/USG Cry me a river & were the oil supplier to USA !! WERE FRIGGED , PAY YOUR TAXES !!
Hence the reason I use mostly electric. This state has or had a 1 billion dollar surplus. Around 300 million per year in natural gas and oil royalties paid in and democrats want to raise fuel taxes by 10 cents a gallon. Fffuuuuk that and them.
