Preparedness....What are your Holes?

1. More alternative power
2. More medical supplies
3. More organization at the neighborhood level.

Those are the holes...overall one always needs more of everything!

 

we do have sand

 

Yes we have literally tons of yellow sand up in the front of our property. I need to order another couple hundred bags . I am going to get one more Blind built before this Fall so I have a nice cross fire set up. We did lots of cleanup last week opening up the shooting lanes and killing fields. This also works for deer hunting up there. But having empty bags is a real good security thing for us as if things get bad we can easily fill them a wagon load at a time and bring them where we need them with the tractor. But yes we have the sand and need more bags.

 

Apparently excavated for supporting piers for a building......or foxholettes for little people.

 

The saying "Aim small miss small" came to mind.

 

My physical conditioning
More bulk food to help out the neighbors and more seeds
More fuels; gas, kerosene and propane

We have a very tight group here with some excellent skills but I'm the only actual "prepper". So I figure I'd better lay in a bunch more rice and beans and whatever else will spread around.

And never enough guns and ammo.

 

@GOG you mentioned seeds. I stocked up on seeds when I first started and now years down the road I am using them. I am finding that me yield is not as great with seeds that expired in 2012 but I get some. I am rethinking my storage plus looking at what seeds grow when they are so old. My kale and spinach seeds seem hearty but my squash seeds are 1 sprouting for every 6 planted.

 

I've started keeping seeds in jars. A friend suggested it, so I'm going with it.

 

I am going to do some major realignment when I get back. Going to sell off my oldest ammo (22lr), all my PAGST armor, most of my gold and silver if prices stay up.
Going to have too many holes to count.

Possibly the worst hole is ignorance concerning the coming events.
I suspect a lot of things, but like a card game ,one can at best, count cards and speculate .
