I finally finished #2 of 4 rain barrels. For the sake of convenience, I connected it to my first rain barrel. I did this with a short length of hose and a "Y" connector as you can see in the photo. As one barrel fills, so does the other. I also drilled an overflow port in the original barrel since my screen was lower than the collar and overflow would create a puddle which frogs and mosquitos were attracted to. I lined the hole with screen. Now both barrels fill to the level of the overflow hole at the same time. See attached photo.
