A simple enough solution to the electric cook top issue. Stop trying to master it and just use gas. Fast, easy, efficient, and the cat understands that
blue flame is hot. Marine Corps style hard eggs are
    a breeze on this thing.

I'll have to ask my daughter if posting memes is an effective exercise to prevent Alzheimer's and other memory ailments. I have to remember every meme I post so I don't keep posting the same stuff day after day. Some I repost intentionally because they fit the thread or seem too good not to post again. It keeps my mind busy.

On butane it's a bit more time than tame than my MSR on liquid fuel. No gas smell from the stove either, although I kinda like that.
    New stove.

That big glass cooktop to me is a giant waste of space that I have to be careful not to damage. Gets used on holidays, and that was the plan.

Reminds me of once on my US Navy ship, a couple guys in my ET/EW shop got bored - never a good thing for young squids. They took a radar horseshoe magnet tied to a string fastened to the wall opposite our office door across the passageway. They had a steel dustpan fastened inside our door. the magnet was attracted to the hidden dustpan, but held back about a half inch by the string, so it was literally floating in mid air! Officers Country was behind the other bulkhead, and they used our passageway a lot. We got some good chuckles from several officers. The Captain even came to see it. :D
