I have a few glass bottles that are left over from Easter. I couldn't bring myself to recycle them because I know they are useful. Once I remove the labels I will either fill them or store them for future use. I have been researching and read that if you sterilize, fill with water then cork them, if you store in a dark area the water will stay good indefinitely. I also thought of making herb flavored vinegar for cooking. I know you can make a torch out of them and will be getting parts for the wick etc... along with corks. I do question the water indefinitely information, would like to know if this is true. Otherwise, what would you use old wine bottles for? Seems to be an item you can re-purpose easier then plastic stuff.
