This quesion is more about those people who live with other people who are not prepper's type's .

My friends are both prepper's and the extra person person in the house is also is a prepper and this got me to thinking about those people who live with roommate's and how do they hide there food & other supplies from a non prepper person

    Duct tape!

First time you see non-preppin roomie with their hands in the preps, duct tape them and put them out on the front porch for a while. After 4 or 6 hours, untape them and let them know next time they touch the preps they will be duct taped for 12 hours then hung from a tree and used for target practice because it is getting close to that time again to rotate the ammo preps.

Duct tape is like the Force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the universe together.

Trailer hitch works better...otherwise they block the radiator and my truck overheats on the highway...

I dont like to do that anymore. When people get a little too worked up, they tend to release body fluids and I HATE cleaning a mix of vomit, pee, and tears from my windshield!!

Back to the OP's question. You can very easily convert the space beneath a standard bed, as well as your personal closet into storage. I had a very simple method of keeping people out of my bedroom. A small 15.00 investment on a keyed doorknob should be enough to (hopefully) secure your room when you are not about. Of course, if the room mate has half a brain, and you are patient, you can usually turn your roomie into a prepper, and even start a prepping group together, including bug out plans, shared large purchases, etc.

Let me just say this. I never roomed with someone I did not personally know for a VERY long time. So, I cannot say I have had to "convert" someone to the prepper mindset. Almost every one of my friends from my youth are preppers.
