   Would not salt blocks sold for livestock be a good storable form of salt? Its cheap. The blocks are 50# or so.

   As long as you did not get the mineral block it would work. I’m storing my salt in food grad buckets with a sealed lid to keep dry. Salt is one thing you cannot have too much of.
