Usually, I try to finish this earlier in the season. But I have been busy and only got to it today. Made my annual Kalikimaka seasoning mix for friends and family.

Folks generally like it. Was even asked to make it commercially. But that would involve too many hoops to jump through and it would be work. Can't have that! Will have the monkeys drop off to our neighbors tomorrow. Saved one for you, @Bear.

If it matches the flavor of Char Kway Teow, put me on the buyer's list.

Nothing like that. Just some spices with a sea salt base. One of my friends told me she and her husband used it as a rub for grilling steaks. They had visitors from the mainland who were self proclaimed steak snobs. After eating the steak, they took home all of my friend's seasoning mix. I found out about it when she asked me for more.

It's funny, I have been making this for years and I never measure. I am hard pressed to taste any difference from year to year. Very weird. I guess the eyeball measure is fairly consistent.

I wouldn't mind trying that myself, as a steak rub. Let me know if you sell any samples.
