aardbewoner judge a human on how he act,not on look and talk.

Wonder who created the shortage of so many things, one good reason is to have people to stand in line and have no time to think. And a excuse for a steep price rise.Who benefit from that ? Not the locals, the many foreign shareholders.
Shortage of natural gas to promote more nuclear powerplants.
Shortage of cash to promote the easy restricted/revoked plastic.
Shortage of foods to make the middle man richer not the farmer.
Shortage of ammo to make the non government people less able to defend themself.
You may have 30 guns but without bullets you can only throw 30 times.
    Just my grumpy 2ct.

Nothing wrong with nuclear power. Worst case scenario we already lived through, with fossil fuels providing nearly all our energy and the occasional extreme shortages caused by supply disruptions. But the worst thing that could happen is go full renewable where you are at the mercy of the wind blowing and the sun shinning. Well the sun don't shine and the wind barely blows on the coldest winter nights.
The only energy in abundance is nuclear. In Wyoming there's an 800 year supply of uranium left over from the cold war sitting above ground, ready to use.
The only thing I bet the fossil fuel industry and the renewable energy industry will ever agree on will be to block the build out of more nuclear power plants. It would be the best thing that could happen foe them.

Well they were almost paying people to take cases of 5.56 ammo 3 years ago.

Cheap 9mm ammo is back to almost reasonable prices.
22lr is 7 cents a shot out the door for the cheap stuff. It will likely never be 2 or 3 cents a shot again.

That is why many here tend to follow the “buy it cheap, stack it deep” mantra.

Don't see nuclear a problem but many misinformed people are scared to death of it. If the government had half a brain they would do like they did with the Manhattan Project get all the best nuclear experts together and design one standard safe nuclear plant where parts are interchangeable from one to another. All these individual designs make no sensed drive up costs and take years to built.

    CANDU reactors in the world
There are 30 CANDU reactors in operation globally. As well, India developed the design and built 16 reactors that are based on the CANDU design.

One of the biggest risks to nuclear power that people don't realize is socialism. When you pay $31 to work at McDs, and only $20/hr to work the plants, people leave. When you can't find any skilled people to work there things go boom.

I think building nuclear plants near the ocean where one earthquake and tsunami changes everything, or along fault lines and in flood zones might be a bad idea based on evidence...and of course to a lesser extent if the facilities aren't maintained in time of war and they get bombed, or the power grid gets knocked out, they aren't going to keep running forever on their own. Google tells me there are 443 nuclear facilities in 30 countries around the world, so if you multiply that times Fukushima and divide by Chernobyl it's not so terrible.

But otherwise, yeah I think It's pretty sound.

The government owns land all over this country they could build regional reactors far from population centers and supply the energy we need. Finance it by cutting all foreign aid, paying for illegals, make people work instead of welfare, cash giveaways in the middle of the night.
