Sometimes FEMA has a good idea.... fact is they made a handy down-loadable form with cards to make sure all your family members have it with them... gives them all the important info they need to have Family Emergency Plan EMERGENCY CONTACT NAME: TELEPHONE: OUT-OF-TOWN CONTACT NAME: TELEPHONE: NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING PLACE: TELEPHONE: OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION: You can get your fulll version of this list by clicking this link Family Communications Plan > > > http://www.ready.gov/sites/default/files/documents/files/Family_Emegency_Plan.pdf > > > Child's Emergency Contacts Card > > > http://www.ready.gov/sites/default/files/documents/files/FamEmePlan_Child_Fields.pdf > > Make a Plan in a High-rise Building > > http://www.ready.gov/sites/default/files/documents/files/high_rise.pdf > Make a Plan for a Moving Vehicle > http://www.ready.gov/sites/default/files/documents/files/vehicle.pdf
Reminds me of that old thing about putting a bunch of Monkeys in front of a typewriter... well more than likely they had a private contractor come up with it anyway
The one thing that concerns me with cards and paper notes is loss by the holder and find by a thug. OPSEC violation in my mind. YMMV, uv cuss. Dot gov invented this (or hired it done at our expense) automatically suspect.
How about just making a little note saying " if found please return to " and pin it to your chest. That is what my wife threatens to do when I leave for town. LOL
