Looks comfy to me. My primary cookstove is going to be a worthless piece of scrap post SHTF.

A bud mixes used motor oil and diesel to "paint" his out buildings. No termites, bugs, spiders, or snakes. Turns them an attractive medium brown. Costs next to nothing. Not sure what the EPA would think about it but then he is not one to care a whole lot what they think--lol.

That would burn like a torch though. Is there anything that could be added to the mix that would inhibit fire?

Years ago, they used creosote which is now illegal. People here have wooden plank bridges built in the 1970s and now they use paint thinner and used motor oil.

A very attractive brown; but, not as dark as the creosote. :D

Line it with gypsum wallboard/insulation like other houses and forget the exterior. No more flammable than vinyl siding. As time/money allows you may want to add a layer of insulation and some type of sheet siding to your construction. Would be snug as a bug in a rug--lol.

My Brother nearly set fire to his house, by way of the vinyl siding, and a gas grill too close.
