Local organizations are pushing these at one level or another. The idea is to have them located with AED units. Sounds like a not too bad idea. Seems like a temptation if not in a controlled access area. Methinks to get three, one for me and one for each grizmoid for their vehicles.

Might make sense - IF the professional training would go along with the kit. You know that will never happen.... At $50 the Red Cross is a bit more reasonable Professional Trauma Pak with QuikClot | Red Cross Store
@DKR Your link is for the $25 "Professional Trauma Pak with QuikClot" Is that what you meant to link as it's not $50? Here is the Quik-Clot Trauma Pak for $21.50 on Amazon. I'm pretty sure it's the same thing... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N0IVTLS/?tag=survivalmonke-20
Around here, they are also providing training, a very good thing, sez me and obviously not me only. And the "free" kits are not low end expendables. No, dern it, I do NOT know who makes the provided kits. However, an enhanced first aid kit is good to have over and above what you build in your medicine cabinet, if for no other reason than luck could find someone around that knows what they are doing. AND, even if the kit owner has little training past Boy Scout first aid, there are directions to read. Some action is usually better than none. (Of course there are exceptions to that.)
Note this is not a stop the bleed kit as it lacks the tourniquet ... try this one... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077TYVS6T/?tag=survivalmonke-20
