TN/NC camping trip Weekend of March 18th/19th

AM tentaltively putting together a small group campout at a National Park for that weekend. No shooting, just an 'around the campfire' weekend.

Have a friend or two coming to visit that weekend and had planned to go into The GSMNP around Cosby. Pretty sleepy little campground in the park that has access to a few cool trails.. Easy to moderate this trip.

Ahh, The Dragon.
Know it well. Actually had to navigate around it one 10 day trip, (before I lived here) as we were too loaded down to ride it. Took the Cherohala Skyway instead and got backed up by the filming of a Lexus commercial...

Some prime riding roads here in E TN. In fact, that's how I first found this place. Bike trips to the Smokies

 

If all goes well. the Dragon and Cherohala are on the menu this spring or next fall. I haven't done any touring on this scoot yet, and it really is not yet ready for that. Gotta put GenMar risers on it first, and get a tank bag. Other than that, I can pull out almost any time.

Regrets. Something of a PIA going on at the office, won't be cleared up for another month or two.

 

Throwing a catered birthday party for a 93 year old lady my wife has befriended. Its looking like instead of buying a Kifaru tent with stove, backpack, (Yes, Backpack and Tent w/stove will cost the same as...) a catered party for 80 people I have never met.

Since they are mostly elderly people, so far no one has called with "regrets". Just feel glad we can throw a party for someone who has never had a real birthday party and is just about in the total physical shutdown mode.......

Knob Creek? Well, that might work and the wife and kids might come. I will keep you apprised.

 

Looks like it's Buz and myself Friday night with phishi and TN_Andy coming in Saturday morning... I'll take some pics.

Was a good weekend and It was really good to meet TN_Andy
