Stop Static Cling. Sick of your skirt sticking to your tights? Fasten a small safety pin to the skirt lining or your slip. The metal in the safety pin will conduct electricity and divert the static

Not bad, that. I set mine up on cinder blocks, and instead of holes, I cut out a squarish opening and drop a section of salvaged deck grating in. That way, I can shovel the ashes out and the drum doesn't fill up before it burns out.

I used to just walk around the barrel with a 10/22 and shoot ten holes through the side and bottom of the old barrels. This one was so heavy I couldn't penetrate the side on an angle. Self preservation caused me to break out the hole saw. I did 3 additional large holes in the bottom, and five around the side about 5" up from the bottom. This burns yard waste and paper very well and reduces everything to light white ash. I think next time I'll drop the holes in the sides down to three so the ash that falls out of them will be between the three cinder block supports. If I keep up with it I can make a barrel last a bit more than a year. When they're thoroughly burned out that they start to lean over I just squash them flat with the tractor and haul them to the scrap yard.
