Water Storage

    That's what I've used for about the last ten years at the remote property. Since the well pump is run on its own set of solar panels, there's no pumping water from the well after hours. So a 330 gallon IBC tank holds plenty of water for use during darkness or at times of heavy overcast.

    Another solar panel keeps a battery charged to run a 12 volt booster pump fed from the tank. I can't remember running out of water.

    I had it tested and although a bit high in dissolved solids, meets EPA requirements for drinking water. Still, it's run through a series of filters.

    The last (and fourth) one before drinking is a Big Berkey with ceramic elements, just to be sure.

    Arsenic --if you eat a lot of rice its got arsenic in it naturally
