Another typical liberal from another European (Socialist) country recently asked me, "Why do you Americans want to own so many guns?" My reply was, "Because we can. That's why." Then, I simply turned away and walked off. I don't bother wasting breath to debate with them any longer. They don't have a clue.
Simple, God didn' create all men equal, but Sam Colt sure as hell did! Most folks don't get it, a 90 pound female is now equal to a 220 pound bad guy! A firearm is the ultimate arbiter of justice! You want to take from me that which I am not willing to give, I will escalate to violence, and now you have a single choice, are you willing to die for what you believe in, because I am!
If there is a drawback to living in Cambodia, being around so many leftists / liberals / socialists is definitely it. They expect their respective countries to take care of them forever. This especially applies to those ignorant young snowflakes who, quite simply, just do not have a clue. I had a discussion a while back with some young liberal gals from Canada. They kept trying to sell me on how their government programs were so good. One specifically told me she wouldn't be alive today, had it not been for their medical program. I replied to her with, "At 51, my government has NEVER provided me with ANY medical care - and I am here to tell you about it. I earned my own money, paid my own medical care, and still had considerably lower taxes than you will for the rest of your life. Enjoy working the rest of your career just to pay for everyone else's medical bills, dear."
Well I'm generally one to not be as rude and crude as possible. I think a general level of politeness and decorum should be kept at all times in public spaces. Unless it comes to the anti-gunners...to them there can never be too rude or crude. To them I says, "Because F you. That's why." I think someone's already printed up the t-shirt. I need one. And then I show them my back as I walk away from their stupid faces.
