The time is nearly upon us, and I have notified myself to remember that every October/November I will update the bug out bag master list. I am asking any who are interested to please submit their recommendations, if any, so they may be included. I would like to add a disclaimer of sorts, to not cause frustration. I would like to reserve the privilege of not having to include every suggestion in the final list, and I will determine the importance of each item based on popularity and any survival factors and uses pertaining to each suggestion. Every recommendation will be met with sincere appreciation, nevertheless.

    bobmaster.

You may also wish to simply use the poll in this thread if you are not the kind to post a reply. You can select more than one option (as many as you like).

Thanks for all of the support and feedback!

Under Shelter and Water please consider the following:
In Tools you might consider replacing the P-38 with the larger P-51...which works much better for opening larger cans like #10s...or better yet, have both.

    FYI, Titan is a Veteran-owned company. ;)

@arleigh was there one recommendation in that dissertation?

@Brokor asked for additions as he updates this annually, this isn't a discussion about what defense strategy.... unless I missed something in @Brokor's post.

This is a great reference resource! Links to everything! This is a one-stop shopping list and a great starting point for anyone and everyone. You wouldn't even have to leave the house to shop for all this. I had to go through every link to see what was there, what it cost, if it interested me or maybe sparked a few ideas of my own (a rare occurrence),

I’m just assuming it was a name change somewhere along the way, but the listed item comes up as "not available" and "do not know when or if the item will be in stock".
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00L4KEDPS/?tag=survivalmonke-20

But a quick search and here is the item I believe you were referencing.

I know nothing about radios other than PTT and to let go of the PTT button when not talking. The link of the spreadsheet goes to:
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007H4VT7A/?tag=survivalmonke-20

...and while viewing the page is shows: There is a newer model of this item: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MAULSOK/?tag=survivalmonke-20

The only difference I see is 5 watt vs. 8 watt, but like I said “I know nothing about radios…”

Anyways, great list and thanks for taking the to put it together.

A fixed blade knife and a Swiss army folding knife, a compass, a ferro rod, tarp and 50ft. paracord, axe, a folding saw and water purifier and you have it covered. Weight wise you could drop the saw.
